The Deutsches Textilmuseum and the Haus der Seidenkultur team up to hold a workshop designed to study and reproduce ancient textiles, namely the weft-faced compound tabby (taqueté) and the weft-faced compound twill (samite). Participants will be able to study archaeological textiles from the museum’s collections and try their hand at weaving their own samples.

The workshop will be held from 26 to 30 August 2024 in Krefeld (German and English).
